WHAT TO DO WITH THIS HERE

BOTTLE

After plowing through that six-pack, you'll most likely throw the empty bottles out. Even if you do choose to recycle them, the recycling process is far from perfect, and in fact does do quite a bit of harm to the environment.
Every time plastic or glass is recycled, it loses quality and durability resulting in "downcycling."
Here's a couple spring-inspired things to do with them to "upcycle."

Throw some plants, herbs, and fresh cut flowers in assorted bottles of differing heights to show off the characteristics of each.

Create your own brew.
I tried this idea out for the first time at Sunday's potluck. Using a white cherry tea from Francois, I filled a few old Miller Lite bottles halfway with the brewed tea, dropped in a few rosebuds, and put them in the fridge. When the guests arrived they were chilled and ready to drink. I filled a larger used wine bottle with ginger ale, and had some Jose Cuervo on hand ready for mixing. It was pretty refreshing and a surprise mojito replacement.
Cheers!
